Former Thomas Cook CEO joins House of Commons
Former Thomas Cook CEO Ian Ailles has been appointed Director General of the House of Commons.
Ailles, who joined travel software firm intuitive after leaving Thomas Cook, will oversee the administration of day to day business in the House.
Speaker John Bercow said he ‘brings with him a huge amount of experience and, as important, enormous enthusiasm’ to the role.
"I am looking forward to working with him, and I am sure he will make a valuable contribution to the House," he said.
