Four Seasons outlines plans for 2018
Four Seasons Hotels has outlined its strategy for 2018, including a number of hotel openings and a new focus on residential developments.
The luxury group plans to double the number of its private residences over the next five years.
Since entering the luxury real estate business in 1985, its portfolio of Four Seasons Private Residences, which includes villas and residence rentals, has grown to include 38 properties in 17 countries.
This year will see the opening on Twenty Grosvenor Square, a Four Seasons Residence in London, the first standalone Four Seasons residential property.
In addition, around 80% of the group’s hotel and resort development projects incorporate a residential component.
These include a new hotel next to the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and a second hotel in India, along with Private Residences, in Bengaluru, one of India’s fastest growing cities,.
In 2018, Four Seasons will also open its second resort in Seychelles on the secluded Desroches Island and will return to Philadelphia with a new hotel in what will be the city’s tallest building.
The group will also debut in Brazil with a new hotel and residences in Sao Paulo and in Greece with the conversion of the Astir Palace on the Athenian Riviera.’¨
To support the company’s growing residential business, Paul White has been appointed to president, residential, reporting to the president of portfolio management and owner relations Michael A. Crawford.
