Fred. Holidays launches Switzerland Vintage Trains package
Fred. Holidays Rail Journeys has launched a getaway just for vintage rail enthusiasts.
The Vintage Trains of Switzerland Luxury Package offers a new way to experience Switzerland, combining luxury accommodation and two nostalgic rail journeys on the Glacier Pullman Express and the Golden Pass with first class rail travel throughout.
It includes London to Geneva flights and a direct train to the lakeside town of Montreux on Lake Geneva.
The following day guests board the train and travel along the Golden Pass to Zweisimmen and on to Spiez, then south to the Alpine resort of Zermatt for two nights.
The classic Glacier Pullman Express travels from Zermatt to Andermatt.
It includes guided visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Aletsch Glacier, Fiescheralp and a train journey on the Furka Steam Railway.
