Fred Olsen plotting spring voyages for new ships

Fred. Olsen’s new ships, Bolette and Borealis, will make their maiden voyages for the cruise line next spring as it outlined plans to resume operations.

The vessels, acquired from Holland America last month, will take over itineraries operated by Boudicca and Black Watch in March and April.

Fred Olsen confirmed this week that Boudicca and Black Watch are being retired.

The Braemar will also take to the water in the spring.

Balmoral will ‘sail even sooner’ although no date was confirmed.

Voyages on Bolette go on sale on 7 September and Borealis on 15 September.

Peter Deer, Managing Director of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Managing Director Peter Deer said: "We are so pleased to be able to share our ‘back in the water’ plans with our guests. When they join us back on board, they will do so aboard a refreshed fleet.

"We have been working hard to add that ‘Fred. Olsen touch’ to our two new ships, Bolette and Borealis, so they are ready to offer the Fred. Olsen experience that our returning guests know and love, and enchant those joining us for the very first time."
