Freedom adds miniple to ranks
Hull-based Andrew Earle’s World of Travel has signed to join the Freedom Travel Agents’ Consortium.
The four-branch agency, which specialises in the US and Australia, brings a seven-figure turnover to the group.
Managing director Andrew Earle said: “Commercial terms for independent agents are being chipped away. When we spoke to Freedom, it was clear we would benefit from its negotiating power. Joining the group will increase my bottom line by at least 0.5%.”
He claimed the business would also obtain substantial savings through Freedom membership such as the cost of its ABTA bond.
Freedom managing director Trevor Davis said: “I am confident the business will continue to shake up the independent agency sector and attract members particularly with the launch of Freedom Independent Choice, which offers all of our business benefits and commercial support without agents having to give up their ABTA membership or control of cashflow.”
The Freedom has recently launched Freedom Independent Choice as an alternative to Advantage, Global and Worldchoice for ABTA agents.
