Institute of Travel & Tourism chairman Steven Freudmann has been overwhelmingly re-elected onto the board of the body.
He was re-elected as the travel agency representative on the board with 70% of the votes cast and received the highest number of votes ever recorded in an ITT election.
Two candidates were competing for the single travel agency vacancy on the board.
Nine candidates were competing for four vacancies in the ‘general’ category. These were filled by current board members Wendy Hartley, Claire Steiner and Martin Roberts as well as new board member by Barbara Kolosinska.
Giles Hawke and Ande Soteri were elected unopposed in the ‘sea’ and ‘hospitality’ categories.
Freudmann said: “To have so many members supporting me and to win by such a margin is very rewarding. This vindicates everything that we have been doing at the Institute for the past few years.”
