From Los Angeles with Love
UK: Wild rocker arrested after alleged abuse of cabin crew
Celebrity watchers may be interested – or entirely ambivalent – to hear that rock “singer” Courtney Love has been arrested and cautioned for allegedly abusing staff on a Virgin flight, and “endangering an aircraft”. The publicity-hungry lead singer of the group Hole, who is also the widow of rock legend Curt Cobain, is said to have been rude to cabin crew and refused to sit down as flight VS8 from Los Angeles to London came in to land at Heathrow. Three police officers boarded the flight shortly after it landed and was led away in tears. The crime she is accused of carries a maximum sentence of two years in jail, but police decided not to press charges. A spokesman for Virgin said: “She was acting in a disruptive manner – we will not tolerate disruptive behaviour and the matter is now in the hands of the police.” Courtney Love is certainly no stranger to controversy; the cover of the latest Q magazine shows her running naked down a London street.
