Frontier adds six routes at Cleveland
Frontier Airlines continues to ramp up its presence in Cleveland with the announcement of a further six destinations from Hopkins Airport.
The carrier will fly to Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers, beginning in June.
Only last month, the Denver based airline said it would begin flying from Hopkins to Trenton, NJ.
At the same time it also announced year-round flights to Orlando and to Seattle seasonally, starting June 13 and June 15 respectively.
To kick off the new routes, Frontier is offering limited time promotional one way fares including Raleigh-Durham for $39, Atlanta for $59 and to Fort Lauderdale for $79.
All fares include transportation fees and taxes and must be booked by March 15.
Frontier’s Cleveland expansion comes as United Airlines last month announced major cuts to its schedule from Cleveland, effectively terminating its United hub status.
United is cutting over 60% of is current schedule.
"We see a great opportunity here, and there’s a lot of demand for air travel," said Frontier senior vice president Daniel Shurz.
