Frontier Airlines names Barry Biffle as CEO

Monday, 17 Mar, 2016 0
Frontier Airlines has announced the appointment of Barry L. Biffle as president and chief executive.

Biffle also takes a seat on the airline’s Board of Directors.

He has served as president of Frontier since July 2014 and replaces former chief executive, Dave Siegel who stepped down suddenly last May.

Biffle had effectively been in charge since then, managing the airline’s daily operations and strategy, alongside Frontier chairman Bill Franke.

Biffle previously served as executive vice president of Spirit Airlines after beginning his aviation career with management positions at US Airways.

He also held the position of CEO of  VivaColombia, the first low cost carrier operating in South America.

"Under Barry’s executive leadership, Frontier has made significant progress in its operational, financial and customer service performance over the last year. The Board and I want to recognize the progress Barry has made in helping to build Frontier into a successful ultra-low cost carrier," said chairman Bill Franke.
