Frontier Airlines suspends pilot for alleged threats against transgender schoolgirl
Frontier Airlines has suspended a pilot for making online threats against a transgender schoolgirl.
The airline pilot, named by the media as Kevin Bickerstaff, posted on Facebook encouraging other kids at the school to beat up the seventh grader.
The family received threats and plan to move out of the area.
The girl’s mother says they had moved to Achille, Oklahoma to escape previous bullying and death threats.
Achille schools closed for two days due to the threats but no arrests have been made yet.
Frontier spokesman Jonathan Freed said the airline indefinitely suspended the pilot when it became aware of the threats a week ago.
"We have long-established standards of conduct to which all employees must agree to adhere. That among other things requires people to treat each other with genuine respect and kindness," a frontier statement said.
