Frontier launches first international service from Trenton
Trenton-Mercer Airport in New Jersey is to get its first ever international scheduled service starting in November.
Frontier Airlines will begin direct flights to Nassau, Bahamas twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays from November 20.
Frontier, the sole carrier operating scheduled flights from the airport, flies 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft to 17 domestic destinations including Atlanta, Minneapolis, Tampa, Detroit and Nashville.
Daniel Shurz, Frontier senior vice-president said the carrier is proud to offer Trenton’s first overseas route in its 85-year history.
"These introductory fares attest to our ongoing commitment to make air travel more affordable and accessible," Shurz said.
"We are confident customers will love these amazing low fares and the ability to optimize their travel experience for the comfort and value they seek."
To kick off the service, Frontier will offer fares from $79 each way to Nassau for bookings through August 23.
The flash sale starts today at 10am and is only available to book through the airline’s website at www.flyfrontier.com.
