FTA launches specialist membership for travel agents
The Faith Travel Association has created a new membership category especially for travel agents, reflecting a growing interest in the industry for faith based travel product.
The FTA has launched a Travel Advisor category, specifically for travel agents which still offers the same benefits such as networking opportunities, member discounts and educational programs.
In addition agents can now build a searchable online profile on the FTA website – something that was not available with the previous individual category.
The new category costs $150 per year.
The change is just part of a membership revamp which includes another new category for associate members, aimed at companies that provide travel support services such as insurance and marketing.
Associate membership is $500 per year.
In addition the sellers membership category has been split into two sub-categories – destinations and suppliers.
The FTA was established last year by the National Tour Association and currently has a membership of 189, including 43 travel agents.
