Galileo signs three new client contracts
Galileo has signed new client contracts with Ayscough Travel, Peltours and Portman Travel.
Galileo UK general manager Pat Minogue claimed the new signings “demonstrate the importance of the consultancy and customer support that we provide for our clients.”
Ayscough Travel has selected Galileo to provide distribution services for the next four years. Ayscough is one of the first UK travel agencies to deploy the latest version of Viewpoint, Galileo’s graphical user interface (GUI) solution. According to Annabelle Penn, director of operations and technology at Ayscough the new Viewpoint system means that the business travel agency will no longer have to recruit staff with previous travel experience. She said; “We can look to train potential staff from outside the industry and hopefully bring new blood and ideas into the business.”
Meanwhile Portman Travel has signed a new four-year agreement, in which a review of Portman’s future technological requirements is a key element.
In addition Peltours, the Middle East specialist travel agency, has extended its relationship with Galileo by signing a new contract. It said it will look to the GDS firm to support the agency’s ambitions to diversify into new markets.
