German airport strike set to cause major flight disruption
Just as Lufthansa gets back on track after a day of flight disruptions, it is bracing for more chaos with an airport strike on Friday.
A planned airport strike is set to disrupt flights at seven German airports
The one-day walkout was called by union Verdi.
Frankfurt Airport is expected to be hard hit.
It normally handles about 120,000 passengers a day.
Munich Airport asked the local government to shut down all commercial operations on Friday.
It said there will be no regular passenger flights.
Frankfurt and Munich are major Lufthansa hubs
Stuttgart also expects no flights will operate.
The airport strike also affects Hamburg, Hanover, Dortmund and Bremen.
