Get inspired by Hemingway hotels
United States: Florida businessman has big plans for famous author
Fans of the author Ernest Hemingway will no doubt be delighted that an American businessman is on the verge of setting up a chain of hotels dedicated to the man.
The Times is reporting that Matthew Weld, a Florida entrepreneur, has been given approval for the project by Hemingway’s family, and is now planning a worldwide chain of hotels. Weld is in talks with two hotel management companies, states the newspaper, and the first Hemingway hotel could open within months.
He told The Times: “There could be a Hemingway in every capital in the European Union. You could put one in London, but the English also love to go to Spain and there would be Hemingway hotels there based on his time in Pamplona.” Weld is also planning Hemingway restaurants, ski resorts and fishing trips around the world.
