Entries are now open for the 2007 International Cruise Council Australasia’s awards to be announced at the annual awards ceremony at Star City Hotel & Casino in Sydney on Saturday January 19, 2008.

Now in their fourth year, this year’s awards are expected to be the most keenly contested yet.
“The expansion of categories for last year’s awards led to a record number of submissions, reflecting growing interest in the cruise sector from travel agents in both Australia and New Zealand,” Mr Jardine said.
“With the popularity of cruise holidays continuing to rise, we’re expecting the number of nominations to increase again this year.”
The award categories include:

** Best Cruise Consultant – Australia
** Best Cruise Consultant – New Zealand
** National Cruise Agency of the Year – Australia
** National Cruise Agency of the Year – New Zealand
** Outstanding Contribution by an Individual – Australasia
** Best Cruise Consumer Promotion Australasia
** Media Award
The nomination processes for the categories range from travel agency self-nomination to nominations by Council member’s cruise lines.
