GoAir names former Jet Airways boss as new CEO
India budget carrier GoAir has appointed Vinay Dube as new chief executive.
He replaces Cornelis Vrieswijk as permanent CEO, who departed nearly a year ago.
Dube had been serving at GoAir as an advisor since leaving Jet Airways.
Dube was CEO at Jet Airways and presided over its demise and eventually bankruptcy last year.
Prior to that, he was senior vice president-Asia Pacific at Delta Air Lines and also worked at Sabre.
At GoAir Dube is responsible for the operational management of the airline and also leading long-term growth strategy for the company.
He reports to GoAir managing director Jeh Wadia.
