Coach trip specialist Gold Crest Holidays was almost £1 million in the red when it closed down earlier this year.

The company announced its closure in January and entered voluntary liquidation.

It owed over £927,000 to dozens of creditors.

This includes more than £100,000 owed to ABTA.

It also owed MagicBreaks £62,000 and several thousand each to Inteletravel, Midcounties Co-op Travel and Hays Travel Group among others.

Companies House said there were more than 60 creditors in total but only around £150,000 of assets available to these creditors.

Gold Crest was focused on Paris city break coach holidays and Disneyland Paris, as well as sports events and festive markets.
