The White Gum joins the Airport Motel as the second Golden Chain property in Alice Springs
Golden Chain’s Bryan White says the Alice Springs property, strengthens the group’s representation in New South Wales and provides a wider range of options for travellers seeking a special tourist experience in quality accommodation at a reasonable price.
“We are the largest motel chain in the 3-4.5 star range and we have established a reputation of excellence that has won the support of traveller,” he said.
“We have had an enormous endorsement from moteliers, looking to reduce costs without reducing their standards as well as from travellers.”
The White Gum Motel is a 3.5 star property with 25 units just a kilometre from the heart of Alice Springs – about a 10 to 15-minute walk.
It is surrounded by the sporting fields of Alice Springs and features a swimming pool and barbecue. Guests can enjoy a visit to the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, the Desert Park and the Royal Flying Doctor School of the Air. The motel is also close to Anzac Hill and the Telegraph Station, while guests can also visit the Transport Hall of Fame.
Host Stephen Smedley says he joined Golden Chain to help increase the business through the property, adding, “Golden Chain is more Australian than the others and has a very family feel about it,” he says.
