Today, Guinness is enjoyed in 150 countries around the world, with approximately 10 million glasses of the iconic beverage enjoyed every day across the globe.

March 17, popularly known as St. Patrick’s Day, is believed to be the death date of St Patrick and is the date celebrated as his feast day.

The day became a feast day in the universal church due to the influence of the Waterford-born Franciscan scholar Luke Wadding, as a member of the commission for the reform of the Breviary in the early part of the 17th century.

In 2006, the innovative Guinness Surger Unit was launched in Australian bars and pubs. The Surger Unit allows venues to deliver the perfect Guinness experience, by using sound vibrations to pulsate through the beer and invigorate the naturally occurring gases to form the legendary Guinness head.

Guinness is committed to responsible drinking.
