Grand Dame now the Mandarin Orchard
SINGAPORE – Meritus Mandarin has changed its name to Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
It continues to be owned by Overseas Union Enterprise Ltd and managed by Meritus Hotels & Resorts.
Established in 1971, the hotel occupies a prime position in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore’s premier shopping and entertainment enclave.
“The name change comes at a timely juncture in the hotel’s history,†said Katherine Wong, general manager, Mandarin Orchard Singapore.
“With the hotel having just completed its multi-million dollar major refurbishment programme, as well as having been awarded its ISO 9001:2008 certification, the name change serves as the icing on the cake to complete the repackaged product that is the Grand Dame of Orchard Road.â€
