Greater Miami CVB appoints new COO
Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Rolando Aedo as new chief operating officer.
Aedo earns a promotion from his current role as executive vice president & chief marketing officer, yet has already taken on expanded responsibilities commensurate with the COO position.
"Rolando has been functioning for some time in an expanded role which aligns with the responsibilities of COO. His commitment to professionalism, accountability and teamwork, as well as his passion for excellence and innovation are attributes that will contribute to the success of the GMCVB as we look to the future," said president and CEO William D. Talbert.
As COO Aedo will lead expansion of high priority GMCVB initiatives and build new strategic programs.
He will also continue to oversee the CVB’s global marketing programs.
He has been at Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau for more than two decades in a variety of senior positions and has been heavily involved in the new Miami Beach Convention Center, which is slated to open next fall.
