Greek carrier to fly from Heathrow

Aegean Airlines is to start serving Athens from Heathrow.
Two flights a day will run from the start of the winter schedule on October 25.
The carrier is to use new Airbus A321 aircraft on the route in a two class configuration.
Flights will depart London at 12.45 and 20.20.
Aegean expects to complete the process of integration and join the Star Alliance by June 2010.
The company’s goal at Heathrow is to develop partnerships with Star Alliance members such as United Airlines, US Airways, Air Canada and Continental to offer passengers improved access to final destinations in North America.
Aegean’s service from Stansted to Greece will cease when the Heathrow connection starts.
