Greek police arrest two Faliraki reps

Two British holiday reps have been arrested by the Greek authorities in Rhodes.

Police have arrested the two reps and charged them with conducting “guided, illegal trade” – which means taking large groups of people to specific venues in return for a commission from the bar owners.

Update (19 August 2003): The BBC reports that the British holiday reps arrested in Faliraki have now all been freed. The reps, thought to have been held on suspicion of conducting “guided, illegal trade” pub crawls around the Greek island resort, are believed to have been acquitted of all charges by a court on Monday afternoon.
