Jurys Inn gets third green award in a row
Jurys Inn has scooped another raft of awards at this year’s Scottish Hotel Awards 2011 with a hat-trick for Jurys Inn Glasgow which won Scottish Green Hotel of the Year 2011 Award for the third year running.
Jurys Inn also won Scottish Green Hotel Group of the Year 2011 for a second year running.
Jurys Inn which has 30 hotels across the UK and Ireland continues to be the only hotel group to hold 29 Gold Awards and a Silver Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS).
Says John Brennan, CEO, Jurys Inn: “As you can imagine we are absolutely delighted to have won Scottish Green Hotel of the Year 2011 for Jurys Inn Glasgow for a third year running as well as Scottish Green Hotel Group of the Year 2011 for a second year. “
“This just highlights our continued commitment to the environment and reinforces the GTBS awards which have recognised us as environmental leaders within the hotel industry. We couldn’t do it without the total support and commitment from all the teams across the group.”
Jurys Inn Glasgow also won Scottish Premium Budget Hotel of the Year for the third year running as well as Reception Team Award 2011.
Jurys Inn Edinburgh won Business Performance Gold Medal 2011, one of 6 winners in the category. And also in Edinburgh, Claire Livingston was one of five winners to be awarded the Rising Star Manager Medal 2011.
The Scottish Hotel Awards were held at the Glasgow Thistle on the 27 March 2011.
