Guest checks out, leaves python in Marriott hotel room

A member of housekeeping at a Worcester, MA hotel got a big surprise after finding a five feet long snake inside a drawer in a hotel room.

Animal Control was called to deal with the exotic looking ball python at the Marriott Residence Inn.

The slippery reptile was handed over to a local pet supply shop for safekeeping.

It is thought the previous guest who checked out the night before, probably abandoned the snake.

Rod Dzivasen, general manager of Central Mass. Aquatics said the snake looked to have been well cared for and didn’t present a danger.

"They’re usually pretty docile. Why on earth they had him in a hotel room is beyond me."
