GuestLogix acquires travel software firm OpenJaw
Airline retail payment platform GuestLogix is acquiring OpenJaw Technologies, an Irish based firm offering retail and loyalty software for travel and hospitailty companies.
The deal is worth $41.2 million and will close in January, a GuestLogix statement said.
OpenJaw customers include airlines, ferry companies, online travel agencies, loyalty programs, hotels and car rental firms, such as Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and British Airways.
"With industry experts forecasting ancillary revenue in the airline industry alone to grow by an additional $130 billion by the year 2020, we recognize that there is an insatiable need for a technology platform designed to unilaterally support ancillary revenue initiatives across a travel company’s entire operation," Toronto-based GuestLogix chief executive Brett Proud said.
He said the deal would create "a comprehensive ancillary revenue and retailing platform supporting all travel verticals from the first point of interaction with the traveler throughout the entire customer travel life cycle."
