Haughton set to leave First Choice

First Choice Independent Travel managing director Kyle Haughton is poised to leave the group following a management restructure.

The operator said in a statement that a dedicated boss of the division was no longer required with First Choice Holidays distribution MD John Wimbleton taking over the responsibilities for Suncars, Unijet scheduled flights, First4Hotels and First4Attractions.

Although due to leave at the end of January, First Choice said it was still hopeful of retaining Haughton.

“The company is investigating other opportunities within the group for someone of Kyle’s seniority and professionalism,” the statement said.
