Hawaiian Airlines hit by cyberattack
Hawaiian Airlines confirmed it has been impacted by a cyberattack.
It posited a website notice, saying it was hit by a ‘cybersecurity event’ which impacted its IT systems.
It is working with federal authorities and working towards an ‘orderly restoration’ of systems taken offline.
It says flight operations haven’t been affected.
“As we navigate the ongoing event, we remain in contact with the appropriate experts and federal authorities. We will provide updates as more information is available,” the airline said.
There is no news on whether the cyberattack compromised data security regarding customers’ personal information
The Federal Aviation Administration is in contact with Hawaiian Airlines over the matter and continues to monitor the situation.
