Hawaiian Experience fares

Hawaiian Airlines has launched a hot new range of special air fares from Australia to Honolulu and neighbour islands, for travel between November 2006 and March 2007.

The new Hawaiian Experience fares are priced from just $957 per person, including tax, ($577 air fare plus $380 tax) for departures from Sydney to Honolulu every Wednesday from 1 November to 9 December, and again from 1 February until 31 March.

And on Fridays and Sundays, Hawaiian is offering a Sydney-Honolulu fare of $1085 per person ($705 fare plus $380 tax) from 1 November – 9 December, and again from 17 January – 31 March.

From Melbourne and Brisbane, the Wednesday special fare is $1057 including tax, while the Friday and Sunday fare is $1185 including tax.

And to fly from Honolulu to the islands of  Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii, the add-on fare is from just $82 one way (fare from $75 plus tax from $7).

Hawaiian Airlines flies three times weekly from Sydney to Honolulu, offering fast same-day connections to the neighbour islands, as well as to the US mainland cities of Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Hawaiian also flies from Honolulu to the Pacific island locations of Tahiti and American Samoa.

The airline departs Sydney at 9pm each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, enabling travellers from Sydney to spend the day at work, at school or relaxing at home before checking in for the evening flight, and passengers from other states or regional NSW to make same-day connections to Hawaii.

The 10-hour flight crosses the international dateline, arriving in Honolulu at 10.35am the same day, enabling passengers to clear US Customs and be on Waikiki Beach or in Honolulu’s big-brand shops by afternoon, or to make same day connections to neighbour islands or the US mainland.

Hawaiian Airlines operates two class Boeing 767-300ER aircraft from Sydney to Honolulu, and dual-class Boeing 717 jets on more than 100 daily flights between the Hawaiian islands.

The airline is also a partner in the Velocity loyalty programme of Virgin Blue, enabling Velocity members to earn points when they book Hawaiian Airlines flights, or redeem existing Velocity points on Hawaiian Airlines services.

Seats are limited at these prices and some conditions apply. Taxes are correct at 25 September, 2006, but can change without notice. For information about Hawaiian Airlines visit www.hawaiianair.com.au; for tourism queries visit www.hawaiitourism.com.au.
