Helen Bonner leaves Web Applications UK
I wanted to use the good offices of Travelmole to say Goodbye to the many great people I have come across in my five years as chief executive of Web Applications Ltd.
It’s been intense! A group of four has become a team of over 30 people, and our technology is now being used to by thousands of people to book over 500,000 holidays per year. Every client has brought their own challenges, and we have learnt why so many technology suppliers are so unpopular with their customers! But perseverance is a wonderful thing, and we are generally held in high esteem by clients. It is particularly fulfilling to see so many of them using their state-of-the-art flexible reservations system to underpin new workflow, new web sites, and generally drive their commercial success.
On a personal note I am moving on to a new challenge with Holiday Cottages Group, much closer to my home in Lancashire. The commute is one thing I won’t miss! I have every confidence that Web Applications will go from strength to strength, particularly with some of the brilliant new technology we are rolling out at present. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces in the year ahead.
