Highlife set for relaunch

Sunday, 16 Mar, 2005 0

Thistle-owned short breaks operator Highlife is relaunching next month and is set to offer its first holidays overseas.

Highlife has teamed up with hotel companies in Europe and the Middle East as Thistle does not currently operate hotels outside the UK, although details of the third parties have not yet been disclosed.

The operator’s website, www.highlifebreaks.co.uk, was upgraded last year ahead of the relaunch and currently redirects customers to a co-branded Lastminute.com website to book breaks outside the UK.

Highlife receives 60% of its business through the retail trade, who will receive the 2005 brochure in late April.

As well as containing overseas breaks for the first time, the new brochure will see Highlife’s debut into the premium market with more four star international products available.

Last year over 150,000 Britons took breaks with the operator with an average booking of £220. Highlife says the relaunch is a response to an increase in overseas and speciality short stay travel.
