Hilton appoints new Asia Pacific president
Hilton has named Alan Watts to lead its Asia Pacific business and takes over effective January 1, 2018.
As executive vice president and president, Asia Pacific, Watts oversees operations of more than 200 Hilton hotels across the region and a pipeline of 375 properties.
Watts replaces Martin Rinck, who was APAC chief for the last nine years.
Watts joins Hilton after two decades at IHG, where he was most recently COO for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region.
"We are incredibly fortunate to now have Alan Watts, who has established himself as an experienced and high-performing leader in the region, to pilot Hilton’s APAC journey from here. I am confident that Alan will use his expertise to deliver superior performance for our hotel owners and investors, and further drive growth," said Hilton CEO Christopher J. Nassetta.
