Hilton reopens in Times Square
The Hilton Time Square has reopened following a $15 million renovation, bringing 460 all-new guest rooms, including two new suites, to the heart of midtown Manhattan.
The renovated lobby, on the hotel’s 21st floor, features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic views of the city below, the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River.
All the new rooms are on the hotel’s 23rd to 44th floors.
The Hilton’s new design draws on the "square" theme. Its facade features geometric shapes in primary colors inspired by Piet Mondrian, plus a permanently lit grand marquee.
All the guest rooms have new carpet whose pattern resembles the streets and buildings of New York; the headboards are wood veneers in varying block patterns similar to a printers’ block that would have been used during the early printing days of the New York Times.
Suitable for events for up to 150 people, the Hilton Times Square features 5,500 square feet of flexible conference space and an 1,100-square-foot Empire Ballroom surrounded by breakout rooms.
The Hilton is the closest hotel to the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
