Hilton’s luxury LXR Hotels brand checking in to Kyoto
Hilton is introducing its luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts independent brand to Kyoto, Japan.
In cooperation with developer Tokyu Land Corporation, the new LXR property is slated to open in 2021 within the Shozan Resort Kyoto.
Shozan Resort features Japanese gardens, historic architecture, tea houses and upscale dining.
It is located north of Kyoto in the foothills of the Takagamine mountains.
"The LXR brand is gathering momentum across the world. Our main mission as a brand is to bring to life authentic experiences," said Feisal Jaffer, global brand head, LXR Hotels & Resorts.
Hilton launched LXR in 2018 and features properties in Dubai, London and Anguilla.
The LXR brand philosophy is to showcase locally inspired experiences with each hotel highlighting its unique character.
It aims to cater to ‘affluent, yet adventurous travellers,’ Hilton says.
