Hit LCY-JFK route inspires more services to US
The success of British Airways’ London City transatlantic service to New York has prompted the airline to consider further east coast routes from the hub.
Chief executive Willie Walsh has revealed that the carrier is weighing up whether to start services to Boston, Washington and Chicago.
Walsh said the New York operation had been a hit with business travellers and that the airline was now thinking about reprising plans for more transatlantic routes that it had to shelve as the recession loomed.
