Holidaymakers warned of strike-related disruption today
The Foreign Office is warning holidaymakers travelling to India today of the threat of public disturbances after trade unions called for all workers across the country to strike.
Travellers are also being warned that transport and public services may be severely disrupted.
Passengers travelling to Spain on BA sister carrier Iberia could be hit by delays and cancellations tomorrow as the airline’s pilots are planning to strike. Many domestic and some international flights have already been cancelled, including some flights between London and Madrid.
Flights to Frankfurt will continue to be disrupted until Thursday due to industrial action by Frankfurt Airport Authorities.
