Holland America Line unveils biggest ever UK ship visit programme

Sunday, 09 Feb, 2025 0

Holland America Line will host its largest travel agent ship visit programme ever this year.

The cruise line is offering 530 places, an increase of 23% on the 430 it offered in 2024.

Ship visits will take place in Southampton, Newcastle, Belfast, Greenock, Dover and Liverpool.

The first visit of the season will be hosted onboard the 2,668-passenger Rotterdam, marking the first time a visit has been hosted on the ship in Southampton.

HAL will host 150 agents onboard the Pinnacle Class ship to celebrate the Netherlands’ national holiday ‘Kings Day’.

There will be six opportunities to explore the 2,666-passenger Nieuw Statendam across the UK, which also marks the first time agents in Northern Ireland have the opportunity to tour a Pinnacle Class ship.

The visits form part of the ship’s programme of ex-UK sailings from Dover, the first time Holland America Line has an ex-UK season in the last 10 years.

The visits will comprise a welcome presentation and business update by the trade team, a guided tour and lunch.

Details of how agents can register their interest will be released soon.

The dates and locations comprise:

Rotterdam, Southampton – April 24

Nieuw Statendam, Newcastle – May 6

Nieuw Statendam, Belfast – May 10

Nieuw Statendam, Greenock – May 11

Nieuw Statendam, Dover – June 14

Nieuw Statendam, Dover – July 26

Nieuw Statendam, Liverpool – August 3

Karen Farndell, HAL director sales & marketing, said: “Our ship visit programme has grown year-on-year, and we’re thrilled to be offering a record number of opportunities for agents.”

“These visits are key to helping our trade partners gain a deeper understanding of the Holland America Line brand, and our onboard experience.”
