Hong Kong Airlines will launch twice weekly nonstop flights to US Pacific territory Saipan next month.
Beginning July 6, HK Airlines will fly twin-aisle 292-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft, departing Hong Kong every Wednesday and Friday.
"To welcome the amazing summer, we are delighted that Hong Kong Airlines is launching this Saipan service, offering even more choice to passengers to tropical islands," said Li Dianchun, chief commercial officer of Hong Kong Airlines.
"With this new service, Hong Kong Airlines will continue to grow our route network in Asia Pacific region, providing more flexible travel options to passengers from around the world."
It will be the only direct flight between Hong Kong and Saipan, although it is well served from other Asian gateway airports including Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo.
Philippines Airlines this week resumed flying to Saipan from Manila.
