Hong Kong Airlines optimises GDS costs with Accelya
Hong Kong Airlines has tapped Accelya to help optimize its operations.
The airline has selected Accelya’s BIDT Audit to reduce GDS costs and address inventory abuse.
Under the new agreement, Accelya will audit millions of transactions for Hong Kong Airlines across multiple Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), helping the airline to recover lost revenue.
In the first month of operations, Accelya’s BIDT Audit solution identified inventory abuse, resulting in potential annual savings of hundreds of thousands of USD.
Accelya’s BIDT Audit solution identifying discrepancies, uncovering unproductive booking practices, and enforcing agent policy compliance.
Accelya says Hong Kong Airlines can benefit from significant cost savings, improved agent education, and streamlined inventory.
“We are excited to partner with Accelya. The ability to recover revenue while identifying and mitigating inventory abuse is essential for our operations,” said Esther Chan, AM, Revenue System Development at Hong Kong Airlines.
