Hong Kong opens quarantine-free travel from mainland China
Visitors from mainland China travelling to Hong Kong will be able to skip quarantine from next week. The eased rules also apply for travel from Macau to Hong Kong. The government will allow up to 2,000 people a day to enter quarantine-free.
It will allow 1,000 visitors to cross the China-HK border each day at the Shenzhen Bay Port and 1,000 via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam also said the government will relaunch the Come2hk scheme which offers quarantine-free entry to non-Hong Kong residents in the mainland and Macau.
