Hooray for Hollywood hotels
Hotels with Hollywood themes are to be developed by Dubai-based Paramount Hotels and Resorts.
Hollywood movies produced by Paramount Pictures such as The Godfather, Star Trek, Mission Impossible and Titantic will provide the inspiration for the designs of the new brand.
Under a licensing deal secured with Paramount, hotels in the chain will be developed along the lines of a major Hollywood production featuring studio-style entertainment.
"While not an investor, Paramount will oversee the creation of this exciting new hospitality concept," said Thomas Van Vliet, CEO of Paramount Hotels and Resorts.
Sites in Brazil, Indonesia, UK, Qatar, Oman and UAE are being targeted for development.
Van Vliet said hotel designs would draw on famous movies. "You might see a Godfather themed cigar lounge and Saturday Night Fever nightclubs in some of the hotels," he said.
