Hornblower Group acquiring Shore Excursions of America
The parent company of American Queen Steamboat Co. and Victory Cruise Lines has expanded its business to land based tours.
Hornblower Group has announced the acquisition of Shore Excursions of America.
It is a logical move to acquire the business as it is the main supplier of tours for American Queen Steamboat and Victory Cruise Lines’ passengers.
"Integrating Shore Excursions of America’s experiences was a strategic investment in the long-term success of Hornblower Group and demonstrates our continued commitment to the future," said Kevin Rabbitt, CEO, Hornblower Group.
Shore Excursions of America is based in Pennsylvania and was founded nearly a decade ago.
The integration will enable a more seamless booking process for customers and travel agents.
Shore Excursions of America co-founder James Palmeri, and the company’s management team will continue in their roles after merging with Hornblower Group.
"We look forward to leveraging the resources of Hornblower overall to bring our services to a broader consumer audience," Palmeri said.
