Tinseltown’s glitzy attractions

Hollywood CityPASS at a cost of $59 for adults is a $108.90 value that lets users save 46%, says Red Line Tours in a timely reminder that it’s Academy Award time again. It can be purchased online or at any of the participating attractions. It is valid for nine consecutive days, beginning with the first day of use. "Like the city itself, Hollywood CityPASS celebrates Tinseltown’s glitzy, kitschy appeal, inviting visitors to dive in and indulge their every starstruck fantasy," says Red Line.  CityPASS is also available for New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California and Toronto.

New extend stay program Obama inspiration

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has introduced an "Extend Your Stay" package that invites travelers to follow up a short, all-work trip with a little extra time for fun. The inspiration behind the offer comes from the nation’s own CEO, President Barack Obama, who quipped, during a recent news-making stay at Element Las Vegas Summerlin that he wouldn’t be surprised if his staff would "accidentally" miss their plane home. The "Extend Your Stay" package offers guests a fourth night free when they book three nights at any Element hotel.  The package is valid throughout 2012 for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday arrivals.

Luxury cruise line discounts

Luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises has announced new lower fares on select voyages sailing March to November 2012, including a few expedition voyages. The new fares are available on dozens of sailings spanning the globe from Africa, Asia and the Americas to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. And sweetening the deal are "Onboard Spending Credits" from $500 to $1,000 per suite available on these same voyages (with the exception of expedition cruises). The credits may be applied toward a host of onboard purchases, including shore excursions, spa treatments, specialty restaurants, Internet packages, personal fitness training and more.

Frontier Leap Year sale

Frontier’s "Leap Year" sale discounts flights to 65 US cities. With the exception of Fridays and Sundays, travel is valid through May 9; excluding March 31, April 5, and April 9. Book by February 29. A sample fare is $120 round trip between Denver and Oklahoma City or $328 from Atlanta to Orlando.
