Island Sea tour in Japan

Japan specialist travel agency KIE/Kintertus offers for the first time a package to the Stouchi Island Sea starting at $1,210. "The six-night/eight-day land package is ideal for independent travelers who appreciate the security of prearranged accommodations, but enjoy the excitement of exploring on their own," the company says. KIE/Kintetsu provides sightseeing suggestions, and package holders can create their own sightseeing and transportation schedule by purchasing an All Japan Rail Pass or a JR West Sanyo Pass or individual tickets of their choice. The Inland Sea is a 280-mile long east-west body of water between three of Japan’s main islands  —  Honshu, Kyushu, and Shikoku. Three bridges and numerous ferry routes connect the main islands to one another and to the nearly 3,000 picturesque islets, each with its own distinct fascination and flavor. Miyajima and Naoshima are among the smaller isles where visitors will stay on this journey, but package purchasers will also stay in Hiroshima and Okayama City on Honshu Island. Travelers also have an option to add on to the package and extend their trip to any city in Japan.

The Travel Package Includes:

  • 6 nights in four-star Western-style hotels, 1 night ryokan (traditional Japanese-style inn with hot spring bath and tatami mat guest-room flooring)
  • Daily breakfast (6)
  • Dinner on Miyajima Island and Naoshima Island
