Last minute booking app HotelTonight has inked a partnership with Major League Baseball’s New York Yankees.

The season-long, exclusive partnership will see in-stadium signage and branding, and digital and social campaigns targeting Yankees fans.

"Baseball fans and specifically Yankees fans are among the most loyal and well-traveled in sports, so we’re hopeful HotelTonight’s selection of great hotels and last-minute deals will enhance their fan experience wherever they are," said HotelTonight’s chief marketing officer Ray Elias.

"We are so honored to partner with the Yankees and mark new heights for the last-minute travel category."

HotelTonight expanded its GeoRates location based offers to include Yankee Stadium with specially discounted local hotel rates for fans during and after games..

The company says nearly 80% of the 30 million Yankees fans in the US live outside the Tri-State area.

The Yankees partnership is among the first major US sport sponsorships for HotelTonight.

It has a similar GeoRates partnership with English soccer team Chelsea Football Club.

Last week hoops star Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors took time out to work as a HotelTonight digital concierge for a day answering requests from customers.
