Huka Lodge considered amongst the best in the world, yet again.  Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report has just published the results of their 2008 Reader’s Choice Awards. This highly regarded survey is now in its twenty-seventh year and is considered to be highly influential amongst sophisticated travellers worldwide. Interestingly, despite current economic forecasts 51% of those surveyed plan to travel more this year.

Huka Lodge, Taupo, New Zealand was ranked No. 7 within the list of the Top 20 International Hideaways (with 50 or fewer rooms). The property was also recognized within the results of the Top International Resorts – the only New Zealand property to be listed.

Huka Lodge is the vision of entrepreneur Alex van Heeren and along with sister properties Grande Provence, South Africa, and Dolphin Island, Fiji, comprises The Huka Retreats.
