Hungarian hotel chain expands into UK
Hungarian hotel chain Danubius has embarked on a refurbishment programme after opening its first hotel in London.
The company has taken over the 376-room, four-star Ramada Plaza Regents Park and will renovate the main bar over the next two months before gradually work through the bedrooms, restaurant and conference facilities.
A spokeswoman promised a ‘Hungarian flavour’ by introducing eastern European cuisine to the restaurant.
Danubius will further expand into the UK with the opening in 2008 of the Buxton Crescent Hotel and Thermal Spa.
The chain currently has properties in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.
