Hurtigruten has promoted its national key account manager Mark Walter to head of UK trade sales with immediate effect.

Walter, who joined the expedition cruise line in 2016 as regional sales manager, will report into the UK & Ireland general manager Anthony Daniels.

Daniels, who was promoted from the role of head of UK trade sales last October, said: "Mark’s entrepreneurial flare and dedication to the job has played a crucial role in delivering results.

"We are confident that Mark will continue to deliver and drive the sales team to new levels for Hurtigruten especially in the lead up to the launch of our first hybrid ship, the Roald Amundsen, in a few months."

Hurtigruten said Walter had consistently outperformed sales targets and assisted the wider sales team to drive awareness of~the line in the UK and Ireland.
