Hurtigruten’s dog sledge sure beats a taxi
Cruise company Hurtigruten is transferring passengers by Eskimo dog sledge from Kirkenes Airport to the unique SnowHotel.
Each sledge can carry two people and warm over-clothing is provided for the journey.
The transfers are available to customers flying into Kirkenes for a ‘Classic Voyage South’, and who are staying overnight at world’s most unusual hotel for a night before joining the ship.
The 45-minute trek takes a scenic route around the local countryside from the airport to the Kirkenes SnowHotel.
Husky transfers cost an additional Euro350 per person, based on two people sharing a sledge.
